Meldhaven Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
Meldhaven ("Meldhaven", "we", "us", or "our") is an Android card game published by Toolrivo. It lets you play Canasta and Hand and Foot against computer players, offline.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Meldhaven application.
Meldhaven is designed as a local-first application. Your games, statistics and settings are stored on your device. Meldhaven does not require you to create an account and does not operate a cloud account or user database.
However, Meldhaven uses Google Mobile Ads and Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to display advertisements and manage applicable privacy and consent choices. These third-party services may process certain device and usage information as described below.
2. Information Stored Locally
Meldhaven stores the following information locally on your Android device to provide its features:
- The game in progress, so you can resume it later
- Game statistics (games played and won, best scores, recent games, daily deal streak)
- Settings (sound effects, large cards, animations, language, card back and table)
- Your Hand and Foot house rules and game setup choices
- Card backs and tables you unlocked
This information is not uploaded to a Meldhaven or Toolrivo server.
3. No Account Required
Meldhaven does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide an email address, telephone number or password. Meldhaven does not maintain a cloud-based user account database.
4. Device Permissions
Meldhaven uses the internet connection only for advertising and consent services. The game itself works offline.
Meldhaven does not request access to your microphone, camera, location, contacts, photos or files. The app plays short sound effects but never records audio. It reads your device's language setting to show the game in the right language.
5. Advertising and Google Mobile Ads
Meldhaven is free and uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) to display advertisements: banners, full-screen ads between deals, and short rewarded videos that you can choose to watch to get more hints or to unlock a card back or table.
Because Meldhaven uses Google Mobile Ads, Google and its advertising technology may automatically collect or process certain information from the device. Depending on the applicable configuration, device settings, consent status and Google services, this may include:
- IP address
- Android advertising identifier
- App set identifiers or other device identifiers
- Information about interactions with the application and with advertisements
- Application launch information
- Diagnostic and performance information
- Information used for advertising, analytics, security and fraud prevention
Google states that Google Mobile Ads SDK data may be collected and shared for advertising, analytics and fraud-prevention purposes, and that data transmitted by the SDK is encrypted in transit.
Meldhaven does not directly receive or store this advertising information. Google processes it according to its own privacy policies and terms. To learn more, see how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
You can reset or delete your advertising identifier in your Android settings.
6. Privacy and Consent
Meldhaven uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage privacy choices and consent requirements related to advertising.
Depending on your location and applicable regulations (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), you may be shown a consent message before advertisements are requested. Meldhaven checks the consent status before requesting advertisements where required.
Where required, you can change your choice at any time in the app: Settings > Ad privacy choices. Your choices may affect the types of advertisements that can be displayed.
7. What We Do Not Do
Meldhaven does not sell your information, does not collect your name, email address or contacts, and does not use analytics or tracking tools of its own.
8. Data Security
Your game information stays on your device. Information transmitted by Google Mobile Ads services is protected using encryption in transit, according to Google's documentation. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
Meldhaven information is stored locally on your device. You can delete it by clearing the app's storage in Android's application settings or by uninstalling the application, subject to Android's device behavior and backup settings.
Because Meldhaven does not maintain a cloud account containing your data, there is no server account to delete.
Advertising-related information handled by Google Mobile Ads is subject to Google's applicable retention and privacy practices.
10. Children's Privacy
Meldhaven is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. Meldhaven does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Third-Party Services
- Google Mobile Ads (AdMob): used to display advertisements.
- Google User Messaging Platform (UMP): used to manage privacy and consent choices for advertising.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the latest version.

Meldhaven est un jeu de cartes Android (Canasta et Hand and Foot contre l'ordinateur, hors ligne), édité par Toolrivo.
- Vos données restent sur votre téléphone : partie en cours, statistiques, série de la donne du jour, réglages, règles maison et décors débloqués. Aucun compte, aucun serveur Meldhaven ou Toolrivo.
- Aucune autorisation sensible : ni micro, ni caméra, ni position, ni contacts, ni photos, ni fichiers. Internet sert uniquement aux publicités et au consentement.
- Publicité : le jeu est gratuit et affiche des publicités Google AdMob (bannières, publicités plein écran entre deux donnes, vidéos facultatives pour obtenir des indices ou débloquer un décor). Google peut traiter l'adresse IP, l'identifiant publicitaire Android, d'autres identifiants de l'appareil, des interactions et des informations de diagnostic, selon ses règles de confidentialité.
- Consentement : dans l'Espace économique européen, au Royaume-Uni et en Suisse, votre accord est demandé avant les publicités personnalisées. Vous pouvez changer votre choix dans Réglages > Choix de confidentialité des pubs.
- Aucune vente de données, aucun outil de suivi propre à l'application.
- Suppression : effacez les données de l'application dans les réglages Android ou désinstallez-la.
- Enfants : l'application s'adresse aux adultes et ne vise pas les enfants de moins de 13 ans.
